The Transformation Unit are an NHS internal consultancy and based in Manchester. They provide consultancy services to the public sector based around strategic transformation and planning; finance and analytics; project and programme management; and organisational strategy and engagement.
The unit is wholly owned by the NHS with an independent board. The organisation use their expertise, integrity and innovation to quickly drive health and care transformation forward to reduce variation in care and transform patient outcomes.
Services span the complete transformation cycle, from developing a case for change right through to implementing new services or systems.
For many NHS providers and commissioners, service transformation is top of their agenda. To improve health, and social and economic outcomes, radical change to how services are delivered is required as budgets struggle to keep up with continual increases in demand and expectation.
The TU offer support, expertise and leadership to ensure transformation is clinically-led, patient-focused and programme-managed.
