About Octopus Group

Octopus are an integrated marketing agency and the home of ‘brand to sales’. The firm helps blue-chip and fast-growth technology and professional services brands become famous and grow their sales.

Octopus began as single PR consultancy in 2001, growing quickly and able to offer clients additional specialist B2B, B2C and research services.

Today, they’re a 70-strong, London-based, independent integrated marketing agency under Chief Executive Officer Jon Lonsdale, with a healthy roster of clients.

The ‘brand to sales’ proposition focuses on helping brands arrive at sales far faster by fusing research, content, PR, social media, events and technology together. All under one roof, delivered through a bespoke methodology and technologies.

Octopus are 100% independent and owner-managed. The Drum ranks Octopus in the Top 100 Independent Agencies and they were highlighted as an Agency of the Future by the PRCA in 2015 for its agency structure.

All managers complete the 360-feedback section of the annual performance-review process. They must request feedback from five team members. Feedback is shared with leadership and HR to identify any areas for development.

A staple programme is quarterly health and wellbeing days. Classes include yoga, reflexology, massages, mindfulness, managing stress in the workplace and spinal checks. Staff also make their own smoothies and replace cake in the kitchen with healthy snacks.
