About One Housing

One Housing build affordable homes for individuals who struggle to afford a place to live in London and the south east. The organisation provides care and support to thousands of people in the community, while helping them to find employment.

Working from 86 sites, the organisation lives and breathes its values of collaboration, ambition, respect, excellence and engagement. One Housing also look to create a positive working environment for all members of staff.

Richard Hill is One Housing’s Chief Executive Officer after joining the business in September 2017. Richard has a passion for housing and is hugely experienced, having held numerous senior leadership positions in the sector.

In his role as CEO, Richard shares regular blog posts to update employees on significant changes, while openly inviting staff to provide feedback on their experience at working for One Housing.

One Housing operate a follow-on programme called World Class Managers, which offers support for graduating managers through the use of online learning modules, along with mentoring and peer-coaching programmes.

Employees are offered a range of development opportunities at One Housing. Supporting Stars is specifically offered to band 3 managers, and talent management is offered to some band 2 roles. This in-house training is endorsed by the CMI.
The organisation offers an employer assistance programme that invites members of staff to access counselling sessions and advice on work and non work-related wellbeing matters. This service is offered completely confidentially.
