About Ongo

Ongo have offered a wide range of maintenance and housing services to businesses and individual customers since 2007.

The organisation’s vision is quite simply to create and sustain truly vibrant communities. This is one in which children grow up with aspiration, residents contribute to their community and want to live where they do and there is pride and a collective sense of place.

Ongos' purpose is to create income to reinvest into building new homes for Ongo Homes, and to develop new opportunities for tenants and others, whether it be through training and employment or even healthy living - in fact anything that might improve the lives and homes of local people.

The organisation is also dedicated to being a great place to work. The organisation believes its staff make Ongo the success it is, promising a rewarding career for all employees.

Chief Executive Officer Andy Orrey runs regular briefings with all staff, operating an open-door policy where he invites employees to communicate at all times.

Employees are given two days per year to use for volunteering activities. In addition staff are able to help choose who the organisation supports as a whole. Last year, this contribution from staff to charity initiatives led to more than £10,000 being raised in total.

Monthly HR surgeries are operated to give staff the chance to express any concerns or issues they may be having. What’s more, internal HR audits aim to ensure that the organisation is supporting and ensuring that outcomes of the staff engagement survey are being acted upon.
