About Openwork Limited

Openwork Limited is one of the UK’s largest financial services networks with over 3,900 financial advisers operating across the UK.

Openwork has been through various iterations in it's history, staring as Allied Dunbar and moving to Zurich Advice Network. They went their own way in 2005 and became fully independent from Zurich in 2018. They are the masters of their own destiny which includes having a fantastic long term incentive plan for their colleagues.

The long-term incentive scheme looks to reward colleagues for their service. For everyone who joined Openwork before January 2018 there's an additional enhanced award. This additional award recognises the contribution made to their success up until now. The longer a colleague has been with the company, the larger the award. They have a long stop date and a value they need to reach for the scheme to kick in but this shows their commitment to both their colleagues and advisers and demonstrates how they are all partners working together.

Openwork also have 'Colleague of the Month/ Year' and 'Team of the Year' awards. The colleague of month gets an award of £150 and a parking space for that month right outside of the building which is a premium but many of their fantastic colleagues auction this off and give their profits to the 'Openwork Foundation.'

Openwork have formed a new Executive and Senior Leadership team. They have taken time to focus and invest in these populations and working with an external partner, have built a Leadership Development Programme for senior managers. This consists of a 9 month externally facilitated programme that brings leaders from all business units together to develop their leadership behaviours individually and collectively. They take part in outdoor team building days, modular learning and individual coaching sessions. 
Openwork have introduced a range of initiatives across the business aimed at relieving stress and strengthening Wellbeing. They have a massage therapist who offers 10 minute neck and shoulder or head massages paid for by the company. Their new second campus building will have an on-site gym and a Wellness suite which will offer a range of activities including lunch-time yoga and private bookings for a full-range of massage therapies.

Giving Something Back
Staff collect ring-pulls from aluminium cans for upcycling into products to support a charity based in Manila. This initiative is co-ordinated with the Purple Community Fund (PCF) charity. The products generate an income for the parents of children living on a dumpsite in Manila and the profit is used to fund the operational costs for the children's school.
