About Orwell Housing Association

Orwell Housing Association Limited are a social housing and supported housing and care provider. They offer housing for those in housing need as well as support and care services for vulnerable people.

Their goal is to improve the quality of their services while growing the organisation both in terms of the homes owned and managed and also through their delivery of support and care services to others.

Since forming, they have grown significantly and manage approximately 4,000 homes for over 7,500 residents. Currently they are the largest supported housing provider in Suffolk.

They work in partnership with a variety of agencies including Access Community Trust, Care UK, Dimensions, Family Mosaic, Heritage Care, Mencap and United Response.

Wendy Evans-Hendrick is their Chief Executive Officer who has more than two decades’ experience working in housing in the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk.

Personal Growth
To encourage employee development they offer support in the way of time if they are unable to offer financial assistance. For example, employees can apply to have their rotas adjusted in order to attend college.
They have a growing number of Wellbeing Champions representing and supporting each team in the business. These champions will become trained as mental health first aiders, and work to promote wellbeing initiatives locally and help also to co-ordinate their corporate commitment.
