---Q11.2 (Practices) How do you plan to act on the results of this survey? (250 words maximum, please)
The main reasons for Paragon Interiors participating in the Best Companies survey and award mechanism was to benefit from learning more about Best Practice in other organisations and to gain a greater insight in to the hearts and minds of their employees. They want to improve upon what they are doing now. Their intentions are therefore two-fold; Firstly, they plan to take the strongest ‘positive’ and strongest ‘negative’ trends from the employees’ survey responses and feed this information back to their senior management and employees through the quarterly meeting format. The intention will be to drill down further to try and establish what precisely lies behind the findings that they can act upon so that any future decisions and actions are based on best practice linked to the specific needs of the business and their employees. Learn and improve on what they do well and change what they don’t do so very well. Secondly, they plan to take the survey responses and map these against their existing Processes, Procedures and initiatives. If what they have in place has no positive bearing on their company survey results they will either revise them or remove them. The aim is to erase procedures, processes and initiatives which add no value and replace them with ones that are relevant to their business model and employee requirements.

Fair Deal
Fair Deal
Outside of the normal standard benefit provisions, they continue to develop new and exciting reward schemes which have now become very keenly looked forward to. Their aim is to bring a significant feel good factor to both the employee and their immediate family through public recognition and award of a specific prize which ‘touch’ the recipients whole family in some way. These rewards can be one off’ special recognition awards for an outstanding piece of work or alternatively they are made in recognition of a situation where an employee has made a special effort in supporting the business. Rewards have most recently included holiday to Portugal, weekend break to Venice, Paris and other Capital Cities, pampered visits to Health Spa’s, family days out to Center Parcs/ Alton Towers, experience days such as a Rally Driving, F1 racing , Parascending, Wing Walking and most recently a family break to Disneyland Paris. The biggest and most exciting reward was a fully expensed family holiday to Disneyland, Florida, for the whole family of an employee who had won the employee of the year award. Alternatively, as part of a wider reward and recognition programme they also offer employees the opportunity to have a full professional make-over and photograph shoot themed as they chose. The company pays for the day and gifts the time out. They believe these are unique and fun reward initiatives that are valued by those who take part and whose impact is far greater than for just those who participate .
