About Parkway Green Housing Trust

What is it like to work for Parkway Green Housing Trust

My Manager
My Manager
All teams within the business hold regular team meetings to communicate and share information. To combat silo working, teams often invite colleagues from other teams to carry out training and provide updates at team meetings. In addition, managers are required to carry out regular 1:1 meetings with their employees to provide feedback and support. Managers within the Trust also encourage social events such as team lunches, birthday meals and evenings out to celebrate achievements and for fun!
Wellbeing
Wellbeing
Parkway Green was the first housing organisation in the country to be awarded the Investors in People Health and Wellbeing standard in 2010. This was awarded to the Trust for their comprehensive health and wellbeing strategy inclusive of the Westfield Gold Membership Foresight Health Plan Know Your Numbers. For the past 3 years the Trust has run a ‘Know your Numbers’ scheme in partnership with Wellness International, part of the Adidas group. The scheme allows employees to have a free and confidential health check, and have the choice of 3 levels of assessment which include measuring; dietary analysis, exercise/activity profile, blood cholesterol and glucose assessment, blood pressure, and makes referrals to employees' physicians if there are any issues.
My Team
My Team
Each year the Trust holds a staff conference where all colleagues across the business attend. In previous years the staff conference has been held at a local community hall and has typically involved the Chief Executive setting the direction for the next 12 months, as well as celebrating achievements of the last 12 months. After asking staff for ideas of what this could look like in partnership with the employee liaison group (ELG), it was decided instead of the usual staff conference, the Trust would hold a ‘Community Day’. Every member of staff spent the day getting involved in community based projects which were nominated by their front line staff who deal with customers and tenants on a daily basis. Each employee had the opportunity to choose which project they wanted to be involved in, 19 projects were nominated by staff in total.
