Management tool kits and resources are available via the Intranet. Pay and support for external management qualifications are offered and frequently support various management training courses. All new managers will be sent on Introduction to Management courses. Internal management development training is offered together with in-house workshops on subjects such as appraisal skills. 360 degree feedback is offered to all employees. Internal coaching and mentoring together with external coaching/ mentoring and seminars/ managers forums or other peer support opportunities are provided. Anyone that is new to people management will be offered support, usually by training and the guidance of their line manager.

They offer a fitness centre and a staff restaurant that provide staff with good and healthy food. The organisation has an occupational health service that they can refer employees to if they have any issues. PayPoint provide private health care to all employees at no cost and offer annual flu jabs administered by the local GP and funded by the company. They offer flexibility to accommodate personal or medical appointments and can go in work time without losing pay/time. Opportunities are provided where employees families are invited to events such as their annual party, family fun days and social charity events. Security turnstiles are used to monitor start and finish times but would only consult this if they had a problem. Line managers are responsible for seeing that staff are working reasonable hours. They do not operate a long hour’s culture. Flexi time is offered together with part time hours, working from home, parental leave, enhanced maternity and paternity pay.

Employee awards are presented at the annual awards party, the ceremony is for all staff and partners or a friend, the event is a prestigious black tie event which is held every January at no cost to employees. 10 employees win holidays to the value of £1.5k which are voted by employees and announced at the party. Contributions are provided for departmental Christmas events, team lunches, and family fun days. Teambuilding exercises are arranged by line management when relevant. A couple of years ago they arranged a 2 day team building event for the whole company off-site which was organised by an events company. This included team building exercises and a BBQ where they received really positive feedback.
