About Pelican Business Services

Pelican Business Services are a leading-edge customer services business. Working as trusted partners, they add value for clients by ensuring they have confidence in the way they handle their billing, collections and customer relations. Their clients are predominately based in the water industry.

They started life at the turn of the 21st Century as Bristol Wessex Billing Services Limited. They were established by Bristol Water and Wessex Water as a joint venture company to manage all their metering, billing and collection operations, and to serve as a point-of-contact for all non-operational customer enquiries.

Today, Pelican are highly skilled in every area of their business and deliver award winning customer service.

Their passion for people, commitment to customer service excellence and their dedication to innovation is what makes Pelican a great place to work. The leader truly believes that if you look after your people, they will look after your customers. And so delivery of award-winning customer service starts with focusing on their people.

A pelican's journey starts with their award-winning customer services academy. The academy provides all new recruits with a grounding in their approach to customer experience and their key customer facing processes. Once recruits 'graduate', they join their department where they receive regular specialised training and ongoing weekly coaching support from their leaders as part of their normal business operating rhythm.
