Pure Planet is a business with a purpose: To make renewable energy affordable and available to all, creating a Britain that is powered by clean, renewable energy. Achieving this goal lies at the heart of their culture and is what engages their people to play their part in achieving it.
They are an independent company, founded and run by friends. The first team member joined in October 2016. The business was founded by three leaders from other industries (Telecoms and Finance), and it is their philosophy of putting people at the heart of running the business that has created their culture. Over a few short years, they now employ over 80 people.
From day one, the founders wanted to create an environment that was inspiring, motivating and meaningful. They want to develop a culture that is not corporate or overly-structured, but is based on trust. One of their first actions was to recruit a people director, demonstrating the importance and the commitment the founders place on creating an engaging, people-based workplace.
Pure Planet also believe strongly in a positive, vibrant engaging workplace where individuals are respected and treated like adults. They are all passionate about wanting to make the world a better and more sustainable place. Pure Planet are here for a purpose just as much as making a profit. They therefore value the triple bottom line of people, planet, profit.
