About Recruitment & Employment Confederation

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) lead the way in defining better recruitment standards and practice, along with what is truly needed to build a world-class jobs market.

As the professional body for recruitment, the REC are determined to make businesses more successful by helping them secure the people they need.

The REC are the largest trade association representing the UK’s recruitment and staffing industry. They are absolutely passionate and totally committed in this pursuit for recruiters, employers, and the people they hire.

As part of the organisation’s aim to be a great place to work, they invite staff to make the most of a series of training and development opportunities, while ensuring flexibility is at the heart of what it does.

Chief Executive Kevin Green holds CEO lunches in which he invites an employee out to lunch to discuss their feelings about working for the organisation.

The organisation is currently in the process of designing a mentoring scheme for managers, which assigns each member of the management team a mentor whom they are invited to ask for advice on leadership along with life skills.
Wellbeing
Wellbeing
Core working hours are 10am until 4pm and as long as staff work these hours, they are left to manage the rest of their day independently. This allows staff to attend any appointments they may have before or after work, as well as those with childcare responsibilities.
Fair Deal

REC encourage staff to recognise each other’s performance across the business. If an employee has done something particularly well or made a great effort, they are nominated for adhering to the company values. Those recognised are acknowledged in a company-wide email.
