About Red Kite Community Housing

Red Kite Community Housing are a tenant-led, not for profit, charitable housing association, which owns and manages 6,700 homes in the Wycombe district.

Through their values of partnership, respect, pride and creativity, the organisation aims to realise the potential in every community within which it operates.

On top of the passion for what it does, Red Kite are dedicated to being a great place to work.

The organisation knows that all staff are different and have unique motivators so avoids adopting just one approach to employee engagement. Instead, Red Kite actively pursue new and different ways of getting colleagues to engage, with their culture underpinning all of them.

Red Kite believe their uniqueness is one of the best things about them, so they tailor all approaches to staff management whenever it’s appropriate.

Chief Executive Trevor Morrow is not afraid to get stuck in, and one of his best memories was dressing up as the Red Kite Rascal mascot when he visited two local schools to award prizes for the design of a welcome card for new tenants.

What is it like to work for Red Kite Community Housing

My Manager
My Manager
Red Kite shun the idea of annual appraisals. Instead, it recognises that the world doesn’t stop once a year and sets objectives whenever necessary. At any one time, staff are expected to have around six objectives, which are then swapped out for others when required.
My Team
My Team
Red Kite are lovers of team events, constantly trying to find something different, genuine and meaningful to enjoy. Staff and their families were recently treated to a pop-up cinema event in the car park, where they had candy floss, popcorn and slush puppies while watching Independence Day.
Giving Something Back
Giving Something Back
The charity recently supported and funded a Fit and Fed campaign, which provides lunches to children during the summer holidays, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals that are normally relied upon during term time.
