The Managing Partner is visible to staff. He is open, honest and approachable. Whilst he is located in one place, he regularly visits other locations and spends time with the staff and managers. Clive is happy for staff to approach him in person, by e-mail and through any of the recognised forums/groups/committees. He is happy to challenge Management where he feels it necessary to do so and receives regular Management Information on staff, which he analyses and challenges. The Managing Partner is particularly effective at networking and is known as an expert in his own field. He provides the Firm with opportunities to be part of the wider Accountancy community, creating opportinities to work with Government bodies, international firms and other respected bodies. Clive has a firm grasp of the Market Place and the movers and shakers within. He is astutely aware of the company's competitors and the trends in the market place, ensuring that Reeves is never compromised.
Reeves has an on-going annual strategic activity to recruit graduates and school leavers with a view to developing some of these individuals to become Reeves business leaders of the future. In any given year, these Trainees account for 20% of the headcount, with approximately 5-10% of all other staff undertaking some other type of professional qualification training. Reeves Accountancy Trainees are provided with on-the-job training across a wide variety of specialisms, providing them with a breadth of knowledge and expertise not widely available from other accountancy firms. Through the delivery of CPD, legislative and technical update training, Reeves can ensure that the advice it gives is consistent, factual, correct and to the benefit of the client, ensuring the company maintain zero errors and complaints.Reeves invests in all of their people so that they are prepared for the challenges of the future.
This year eight teams of seven people took part in the Global Corporate Challenge. The Team which achieved most throughout the 112 day challenge were awarded with a Team Prize of £50 each. This is a global, virtual walking competition where each individual records their daily 'steps' from a pedometer, moving their team virtually around the world, completing challenges along the way. The Firm offers annual/bi-annual medicals to staff as a preventative health measure. The Sports and Social Club hold regular sporting events throughout the year.
