About Regenda Homes

Regenda are a housing association owning and managing over 13,000 properties in the North West. Most of these are social rented housing; however, the company also has over 30 Independent Living schemes for older people and 160 supported homes as well as shared ownership, market rented and outright sale properties.

Regenda aim to support their residents to realise their full potential and to ensure they have the best possible quality of life in healthy, safe, prosperous and sustainable communities. They work with a range of partner organisations to provide affordable housing and to achieve sustainable community regeneration.

On top of this, the dedication strives to promote a happy and flexible working environment for all staff, and is passionate about hosting fun and inventive events to promote teamwork. Events include stress management workshops, bake sales and a charity mountain climb.

Dr Michael R Birkett has been Chief Executive at Regenda since March 2014.

The LEAD programme offers participants the chance to work-shadow, learn new skills and showcase talent to senior managers. Employees have become involved in projects they otherwise wouldn’t be, attended the CIH conference and Young Leaders’ Conference, and benefited from mentoring opportunities.

Staff communicate easily through the Intranet site, The Club, with blogs, updates and photos. It also publicises health, wellbeing and charitable initiatives. The Regenda Dragon Boat Race on the Mersey helped staff interact with other teams and meet colleagues’ families at a BBQ.

Spot Awards reward employees who have gone the 'extra mile', for example resolving a customer complaint, working extra hours or delivering a successful project. Managers and team members can nominate team members and colleagues, which are presented as pay bonuses of £10, £20 or £30.
