The Robin Hood Multi-Academy Trust was officially formed in July 2016 and currently has two schools: Robin Hood Academy, Birmingham, and Cedars Academy, Leicester.
In the past five years, Robin Hood Academy have specialised in school-to-school support, deciding that the creation of a multi-academy trust seemed a natural progression to ensure it can create lasting partnerships and build upon the effective work that had already taken place.
The Robin Hood MAT’s goal is to challenge the status quo of education and to constantly reflect, refine and improve to ensure that they operate at the cutting edge of educational developments. They believe that if they work with like minded schools and leaders to affect change then the trust will operate at a ‘flagship’ level.
Finance Director John McDermott has been in the post since September 2017 having previously worked across the West Midlands region in local authority schools, church schools and academies.
