Sponge UK are a digital learning provider that aims to harness the power of learning technologies to help world-leading organisations access a new world of digital experiences. They hope that these experiences inspire employees to learn and grow, while delivering better workplace performance.

Since the company’s formation in 2004, they have worked with some of the biggest global organisations to deliver many award-winning solutions.

Headquartered in Plymouth and with additional offices in London, Nottingham and Dublin, Sponge are a family-run business who are committed to providing an excellent experience and generating results for clients.

Members of the management team are supported with mentoring and coaching following the completion of their leadership development programme. This involves both internal mentoring with management, as well as external mentoring with Michael Walsh, their business mentor.

In 2017, Sponge assigned a dedicated Mental Health HR Lead to support people with work or home-related stress and other mental health issues. Their HR process and support in relation to workplace stress includes mental health first aid training and subsidised counselling sessions.

Since 2015, the company has hosted the Sponge Summer Barbeque every July. The largest event in the Sponge social calendar, more than 150 people attended the day in 2017, which included a free ice cream van, bouncy castles, face painting, a Total Wipeout-style inflatable game and more.
