Due to the wide variety of professional disciplines within the Company, professional development training is equally varied. Whilst the Company provides work-related training such as First Aid, Challenging Environment Preparedness, Off-road driving courses, Interview Techniques, Report Writing etc, individuals also undertake training in specialist software and laboratory and scientific protocols.

SRK will match funds raised from other SRK employees up to £500. However, in exceptional circumstances, this upper limit has been waived and SRK has made larger donations. SRK is very aware of environmental and social obligations of the mining and metals industries and supports international charities which operate in regions impacted by these industries. SRK also seeks to address its own environmental impact and supports UK-based environmantal charities whilst also supporting community projects and organisations, such as children's welfare and cancer or hospice based charities.SRK supports charities based in the local community on a staff-led basis.

SRK conducts annual appraisals of all staff, supported by 6-monthly mid-term reviews and regular feedback from managers. In additon, SRK rewards all staff trough an annual discretionary bonus scheme.
