It is a national centre for a range of specialist courses and invests more than £160 in training for each member of staff every year. What is it like to work for Stockport College

The senior leadership team are accessible to all employees and can often be seen walking around the campus interacting and engaging with employees of all levels. Minutes from the senior leadership team meetings are published on the intranet for all employees to access. Employees also have the chance to ask the Principal questions via the ‘ask the Principal ‘ section on the intranet and at the beginning of each term the Principal will talk to all staff about the coming months.

Stockport College place great emphasis on team work and hold fun and social events to encourage employees to interact away from their working environment. They also hold formal team building events several times a year including a cross college development day. Team success is recognised with lunches awarded by the Principal.

Outstanding achievements and hard work are rewarded through their individual ‘star awards’ and length of service is celebrated after 20 years.
