Quick facts

About Stockport Homes Group

Stockport Homes manage and develop housing on behalf of Stockport Council and provide a range of services to support vulnerable people. They manage some homes on behalf of private landlords, while others come from mortgage rescue activity or property development.

A values charter is at the heart of the organisation, with core principles including ambition, passion, respect and excellence. Stockport Homes use their role as a service provider to generate trust, build local communities and empower their people.

Recognising that many local communities are struggling, Stockport Homes created a network of food clubs to provide groceries for those in need. Staff from across the organisation choose to support this project through the company’s volunteering policy. The chief executive encourages an open and engaged workforce and has championed engagement initiatives, as well as the formation of a staff voice group.
