Stonewater are a social housing provider with more than 31,000 homes across England and deliver good quality, affordable homes to those in need. Their values include being ethical, ambitious, agile, commercial and passionate. These principles are embedded in employees’ personal development plans so that the workforce is constantly focussing on achieving the organisation’s vision.
An annual staff conference brings together more than 650 colleagues from across 85 sites around the country and the most recent event focussed on how the organisation was demonstrating its core values in line with business goals.
Their chief executive hosts regular ‘brown bag lunches’, where employees are selected at random and invited for an informal lunch and to ask questions about all elements of their work. The senior management team is also required to demonstrate that they are a values-led organisation with ambitious goals. Despite only forming in 2015, Stonewater now has more than 65,000 customers.
