About Sumo Digital Ltd

Founded in 2003, Sumo Digital are a world-class game development studio, licensed to develop on all the major gaming platforms ,as well as mobile and tablet, with partners including Microsoft, SEGA and Sony.

With UK studios in Sheffield, Nottingham, Newcastle, the company aims to utilise its unique experience and exceptional talent, to offer an unequalled level of service and turnkey solutions to publishing and technology partners.

The studio believes in creating a great working environment for its staff, which has led to a range of initiatives spanning wellbeing, charity, regular social events and much more.

Sumo are led by co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Carl Cavers, who makes sure he spends time around the studio chatting openly to employees about work and family life.

Sumo organise a range of charitable initiatives, including the Sumo Big Day Out Raffle, a food bank, shoe box collections, and an initiative that sees the company provide staff with two fruit baskets per week. Each basket purchased plants one tree in Malawi via the charity Ripple Africa.

Due to continued growth, they have acquired two new units that are currently being fitted out for their teams. As part of this, they are creating a large new social space where employees will be able to sit and eat, chat, have informal meetings or hold workshops.
