About Swanstaff Recruitment Ltd

What is it like to work for Swanstaff Recruitment Ltd

My Team
My Team
Swanstaff encourage people to share good news or innovative ideas via the ‘All Staff’ email thread. This increases communications and opens up visibility of best practice. They run regular team challenges including a "Spaghetti Tower" challenge that took place at a recently quarterly meeting ensuring groups sat with other branch and teams to encourage cross company communication and interaction. They encourage their staff to thank their colleagues, this is done via the system ‘People HR’ and notifies the employee when they have received thanks. This has been used over 150 times in the last month alone.
Giving Something Back
Giving Something Back
Swanstaff have supported the Alzheimer’s Society during September and October by encouraging staff to take part in the Memory Walks and raise money for charity. They also encourage staff to take time out of work to donate Blood in the "are you the type to save a life" campaign. They have just completed a "Seeds for Dementia" campaign appeal where they donated 1000 packets of seeds to care homes across the UK, all of these care homes were self-nominated. Swanstaff have just launched their 2016 winter appeal which involves each team creating a Reverse Advent Calender which they fill with items and donate to a Foodbank or Homeless Shelter. Swanstaff support local sports teams and athletes. Swanstaff have recently worked with Global Radio's Make Some Noise with staff fundraising and taking part in the Kart with a Heart event in Kent. Other fundraising events in the past 12 months have included the KM Colour Run, Children in Need, Jeans for Genes, Sport Relief, Centrepoint Sleep Out, Rainbow Cake sale for The Who Cares? Trust and supporting individuals within the company for swimming, boxing and running to raise money for various causes close to their hearts. Whilst Swanstaff do not have a formal initiative in place they do have an equal opportunities policy and do not discriminate against historical offences or circumstances. Branches do have to comply with guidelines set by the clients that they work with but where possible they aim to get people back to work and create opportunities regardless of background. Swanstaff also look to promote ex-forces personnel and support those who find it difficult to return to civilian work.
My Company
My Company
All of the offices have the Core Values printed as large vinyl's onto the wall. Swanstaff promote the company ambition right from the outset at interview stage, through to the induction and this is also spoken about regularly by the CEO and Management team at events andtraining. Swanstaff ‘thank you’ badges on the HR system refer to the Core Values so that staff can recognise when someone has met the value. The annual appraisal process, probation reviews and monthly one on one supervisions also refer to the core values and staff are asked to reflect on how well they work to these values and how well they feel these are reflected in the company culture. These are also spoken about in the induction video, showing new employees how these are reflected in every day work. Employees often recite these core values when speaking to clients and candidates - they are also shared with candidates through the Ambassadors programme.
