About TEES

Tees Law provide legal advice to private clients, rural land owners, commercial businesses and private business owners. Their financial services include advice and in-house investment management.

Tees was founded in over 100 years ago by Herbert Stanley Tee, since the start of the business, Tees has always been known as a progressive law firm. They merged with a financial services business which strengthened and created a more rounded offering to clients of both legal and financial advice.

In recent years the business has had five mergers which has grown the company to six offices and over 325 staff, including Partners, solicitors, tax experts, wealth management advisers, asset managers and support staff.

Working at Tees is about each person, and the person siting opposite them. Each person contributes to how the firm operate and how it is perceived by its clients. As a business, Tees works alongside clients, committed to supporting them as a truly trusted partner and adviser through their personal and professional journey.

Tees recently held a celebration of 'Learning at Tees' event with a 'Learning fortnight'. This was two weeks of different workshops with a mix of practical skills and mental wellbeing skills, including a guided meditation session.

The Managing Director and Senior Partner hold a monthly briefing session in each of the 6 offices, where all employees are invited to hear about the latest things going on across the business. The Managing Director and Senior Partner update all employees on the performance of the business, and latest information on new things coming up, and celebrate any successes in each office

Employees are encouraged to help recruit into the business people they know and trust. They provide a thank you to those who do so, with a fee based on the job type. A lump sum is given for successful placements, which is paid 50% on joining and 50% after 6 months service.
