The firm has UK sites in Abingdon, Burton Upon Trent, Stevenage and Warrington, as well as offices in the US, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. Their Chief Executive is Mark Kirwan, who has been with Tessella since 2014 and led the company since 2017.

Management training is discussed and agreed on an individual basis during appraisals and monthly lunches. Training can take many forms, from attending courses to self-study, with regular meetings organised to measure the performance of the leadership team throughout the year.

In addition to a substantial cash training budget, Tessella allocate 150 hours per year to training for each member of staff. This applies to staff at all levels, with training covering sales, management and personal development topics as well as IT.
This year saw the launch of a company-wide mental health initiative, making it normal to talk about mental health in the workplace. The firm also has its own Sports and Social Club that regularly arranges events, and an employee assistance programme offering advice on work-related and personal issues.
