About The Alchemist Bar & Restaurant Ltd

The Alchemist Bar & Restaurant Ltd is a cocktail bar and restaurant that celebrates molecular mixology, alchemy and craftsmanship. Drinks are served in all manner of vessels with theatre and panache, with food served morning, noon and night.

The Alchemist has locations at 12 sites across the UK, including Manchester, Leeds, London and Birmingham, and has plans to open new restaurants in places such as Nottingham, Cardiff and Bristol.

In July 2017, the company declared a 'War on Straws'. Realising that they were using 2.5 million straws a year, all going to landfill, they removed straws from their bars. They’ve sourced a biodegradable alternative for those drinks that do need straws or for any guests that may request one.

In addition, they are running two community initiatives to help the environment. Staff are helping to clean up the waterways at Media City, Manchester and they’re planting trees in Leeds.
