About The Body Shop

The Body Shop International are a leading beauty retailer, catering to female and male customers who seek natural and healthy beauty products and are concerned with the importance of sustainability.

Founded by Anita Roddick in 1976, the company is dedicated to finding the finest ethically-sourced ingredients for its range of naturally-inspired beauty products. This means working fairly with farmers and suppliers, operating on a 100% vegetarian basis, and taking a firm stance against animal testing.

Having pioneered the philosophy that business can be a force for good, this ethos remains the brand's driving force, and has delivered great success - the company now has more than 3,000 stores in over 60 countries, and continues to grow.

The Body Shop continues to operate by Anita Roddick’s founding principles, as expressed through its Enrich Not Exploit commitment, which lays out the company’s efforts to support local communities, protect the environment and maintain transparency in the way they operate.
