About The Entertainer

The Entertainer Ltd are a customer focused toy retailer that aims to deliver a stress-free shopping experience for parents and gift givers, and a memorable and exciting one for children.

The Entertainer was founded in 1981 by husband and wife team, Gary and Catherine Grant, and now has over 130 stores in the UK, plus six international stores including Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

Following employee feedback, the toy retailer built a space for employees to get away from their desk, eat lunch or spend some quality time away from their normal routines and daily stresses. This space is a beautifully appointed room called “The Lunchbox” and is designed to help maintain and improve staff wellbeing.

In addition, the company extended stress and resilience training to managers at Head Office. This initiative is the second phase in building awareness and giving managers more capacity to deal with emotional illness and mental health issues.
