The Message Trust are a Christian youth-based charity that aims to spread their message to the hardest to reach young people. It was established in 1992 and is headquartered in Manchester but has offices around the UK and overseas. Passion plays a key role in their work and employees are encouraged to share their vision of reaching more young people.
There is a monthly prayer day that brings all staff together to set their vision, share stories and celebrate achievements. They also support many charity events, such as a collaboration with a local church and shelter to provide 12 homeless female asylum seekers with a safe place to sleep every Sunday night throughout the winter.
Once a year, all staff attend a Vision Night, where they are presented with the vision for the next 12 months and can understand more about this. There is also an Urban Hero award held annually, with the black tie event demonstrating the charity’s successes to its supporters.
