About The RSA (The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacture and Commerce)

Founded in 1754, the Royal Society For The Encouragement Of Arts, Manufactures And Commerce (RSA) are a London-based organisation committed to finding practical solutions to social challenges.

The organisation’s mission is to create the conditions for the enlightened thinking and collaborative action needed to address today's most pressing social challenges.

They serve this mission by acting as a global hub, by enabling millions of people to access the most creative ideas, by nurturing networks of innovators, and through researching, testing and sharing practical interventions.

The RSA place simple focus on listening, being present and actively supporting staff, and aiming to ensure it is a great place to work.

The executive team actively role model principles and values in their leadership and management style and behaviour. They achieve this by taking time to meet all new starters during induction, as well as being audience members in discussions, meetings and events led by others

Chief Executive Matthew Taylor is a writer, public speaker, broadcaster and former political strategist.

The RSA’s most valued player award is given to one individual at the monthly staff meeting who is recognised for their hard work or going above and beyond the call of duty. The winner is selected by staff and a panel, and while it is a small gesture, staff appreciate the recognition.
