The organisation's MD is a great advocate of open communication and is always available for one to one meetings with employees, as are all of their Directors.  This is somewhat unique for a company the size of TTP.  He also holds regular directors surgeries, whereby people can submit anonymous questions and can dial in to a call in which he, and other Directors, answer them, plus any further questions that people wish to raise directly.  In TTP's staff surveys, the access to Directors is always something that is highlighted as a real positive of working here.  Some of the other methods that their MD uses to engage staff are the company's Comms Events and My Big Idea.

All of the Directors, in both offices, sit in the open plan space with the wider team at The Test People.  This allows for collaboration and communication and a closer relationship with employees.  The Senior Management Team are prominent sources of expertise in the TTP Community and also the wider testing community.  The SMT commitment to the values has also recently been illustrated by the agreement to include the company values in the new Talent Management framework, which will soon be launched.  This will ensure that the values are prominent and reinforced by all of the company's managers to their teams during performance chats.  The main way in which the SMT promote their values is to lead by example.  At Director level, there is a strong commitment to creativity and ensuring TTP are at the forefront of new initiatives within Testing.  Senior Management also empower their teams to work autonomously and find new solutions to complex technical and testing challenges.

The TTP Academy, the proven and trusted resource of academic excellence, has been specifically built to train, accredit and deliver the testers of tomorrow.  Producing skilled testers who have had hands-on experience across a range of live business projects, covering functional and user acceptance testing, automation and performance testing.  The training delivers a broad range of disciplines, such as risk-based testing, test automation, performance testing, performance engineering and includes architectures, databases, networks and programming.  This intensive course, led by trainers with a wealth of experience and knowledge, enables TTP to provide their clients with motivated, bright, career focused people, who have mastered the technical and analytical skills required to be productive testers.  The first element of the Academy training scheme is a bespoke, internally delivered, 8 week intensive training course, which represents a large time and financial investment by TTP in the development of their employees.  Existing employees can also sit on relevant courses and they deliver these courses in a standalone offer at different periods in the year to allow as wider participation as is possible.
