About the7stars

the7stars UK Ltd is a media agency that plans, buys and evaluates advertising for clients across a diverse range of sectors. Current clients include Iceland, Gumtree, Suzuki, Discovery Channel, Sony Music, Ladbrokes Coral, Warner Music and Nintendo.

The London-based company was founded in 2005 by Jenny Biggam and Mark Jarvis, and currently has over 190 employees

In 2017 they launched the7stars Foundation, a charity that supports under 16-year-old children suffering from the effects of abuse, homelessness, addiction or who are child carers.

Each year they put 5% of their profits into the foundation and staff are encouraged to get involved either through visiting the beneficiaries they have donated to, running social media feeds or raising money through various initiatives.

As well as improving engagement around giving back and making a difference, the Foundation has also helped employees understand that the work they do has an impact beyond the organisation’s profit numbers.

What is it like to work for the7stars

Leadership
Leadership
Their flat structure, and lack of job titles, means that regardless of job role, experience or seniority; everybody is treated the same. Having no job titles helps the company to deliver this and encourages senior management to behave in an open and inclusive manner.
My Team
My Team
They launched their inaugural tennis tournament in 2017, hiring courts at a local park and giving everyone the afternoon off. Those that weren’t playing enjoyed a picnic, strawberries and cream and Pimms. The whole company participated as players, umpires, ball boys or spectators.
Giving Something Back
Giving Something Back
They have a long-term relationship with social enterprise VisionPath, providing business mentoring for schoolchildren from underprivileged inner city schools. In addition, they have developed a relationship with DotDotDot who provide affordable housing solutions for people moving to London for work.
