About Thrive Homes

Thrive Homes are a social housing association that provide good quality affordable homes to a wide range of customers from every background. They operate in some of the most expensive areas in Britain and aim to increase opportunities for people to secure safe, well-priced homes that allow them to build their lives.

Social responsibility is at the heart of what they do and the organisation exists beyond traditional landlord responsibilities; it aims to build communities. Employees are regularly rewarded for fulfilling the company’s values and for their performance as a whole, with thank you cards given to those who have delivered something of value to the business.

They run a community work stream called Thrive Give, which encourages staff to give their time, a voice, support and funds to good causes. All staff are allowed one working day to participate in volunteering activities and the impact of the scheme is measured against key objectives. Voluntary activities have included painting, decorating, clearing, digging and refurbishing at local community centres and projects.

What is it like to work for Thrive Homes

My Team
My Team
Colleagues interact on Workplace by Facebook – so successful that a monthly e-bulletin from the CE has been stopped. Many people even post in their personal time. In 2018, two all-employee events enhanced colleague engagement, not least because they helped plan them.
Giving Something Back
Giving Something Back
After a recent office move, they recycled redundant furniture and equipment to charities. Since then, they’ve licensed two electric charging bays, committed to electronic filing, included bike purchase in the flex-pot, and adopted agile working, reducing the need for staff to travel into the office.
Fair Deal

Employees get rewarded both financially and through individual, personal recognition. For example, a personal Thank You card from the Chief Executive delivered digitally with a ‘handwritten’ message (Microsoft Surface pen). For the tenth anniversary, staff enjoyed a Big Birthday Breakfast and a £50 Amazon voucher.
