About Tokio Marine Kiln

Tokio Marine Kiln are a leading international insurance underwriting group, providing specialist and corporate insurance within the Lloyd's and Company markets.

Led by Chief Executive Officer Charles Franks, they employ 900 employees in 20 cities around the world to protect customers against complex and ever changing risks.

Formed in 2014, they operate in four main business areas: Property and Casualty; Marine, Aviation and Special Risks; Accident, Health & Life; and Reinsurance.

Every month the CEO and a member of the leadership team give a company briefing to all staff at 9am. On the same day, drinks and canapes are organised in the office reception after work for employees to attend.

The senior leadership team attend the briefing and this is a great opportunity to network, meet or catch up with people from across the company and unwind. The events are often themed, linking in with the festive period, charity events or the holiday season.

In 2015, they set up a maternity coaching programme to support employees through the work and lifestyle changes that come with a new baby. The coaching can start up to two months prior to the employee leaving on maternity leave.
