Toyota (GB) PLC (TGB) are an automotive sales and marketing company that produces marketing materials for Toyota and Lexus brands, Fleet customer sales, and support to the network of dealers.
As part of feedback from employees, the HR team produced, piloted and rolled out a new flexible working programme called “Smarter Working”. This sets out TGB’s approach to working in alternative ways and has enabled working parents and their managers to have better understanding about the range of formal and informal options open to them.
They hosted a wellbeing fair in 2017 focusing on physical, financial and emotional wellbeing. As part of the fair to support physical wellbeing, they unveiled a customised “Walk the Wave”, a path around the office gardens which can be used for exercise, walking meetings, or relaxation, and which will add 1,000 steps on a pedometer for every “wave” that you walk.
