Trolex Ltd are a global supplier of gas and dust detection, connector solutions, strata monitoring and infotainment systems to the mining, hazardous and transportation industries.

Their products are used in over 100 countries by some of the world's leading corporations to protect their people and assets, maximise efficiency and improve the experience of workers and passengers.

The company’s 'inspire' health and wellbeing team organise a calendar of events throughout the year that includes a summer BBQ and to lunchtime quizzes, where employees compete for the 'star' prize, which may be a cash prize, a voucher of some sort, or an additional holiday.

In smaller sub-working groups, the Inspire team also organise a number of health awareness campaigns, focusing on health topics as chosen by employees through our annual health and wellbeing survey. To date, these campaigns have included back pain and posture, mental health, cancer awareness, healthy hearts and healthy eating.

All employees are offered free membership to private medical insurance with BUPA, and an additional cash-back scheme with Westfield Health. Both of these schemes offer varying levels of counselling, support, and advice. Regular reminders are circulated to remind staff of these benefits.

As part of their environmental initiatives, they installed two electric car charging points onsite, for use by staff and visitors. They were able to do this with the help of a 'Travel for Greater Manchester' initiative, to promote greener methods of travel.
