UK Power Reserve are a leading provider of secure, flexible, low carbon electricity and services to the UK power market. Clients include National Grid, National Rail and other industrial energy users.

Based in the Midlands, the power company has a portfolio of more than 800MW of small-scale, local thermal power generation and battery storage assets. They bring innovative technologies and services, which disrupt the traditional utility model, to keep the UK’s electricity system balanced and resilient.

The company was established in 2010 and experienced a successful management buyout in 2015. Today, the profit generating, high-growth company employs more than 100 people and is spearheaded by Chief Executive Officer Tim Emrich.

In 2017, UK Power Reserve achieved full ISO14001 Environmental Management System certification to UKAS standards. This included replacing fluorescent lighting with energy efficient LED lighting, ensuring vehicles were only washed at eco-friendly car washes and creating a green office with reduced use of paper stationery.
