Viking River Cruises allow holidaymakers to explore and engage with their destinations through the local food, culture, countryside and customs. They deliver intimate, inclusive cruise itineraries.
Chaired by Torstein Hagen, Viking River Cruises are billed as the thinking person’s cruise. They go beyond the obvious, to offer behind-the-scenes insights and opportunities. Without leaving out visits to local landmarks, they also provide Local Life, Working World and optional Privileged Access experiences in hard-to-visit places.
Ranging from eight to 23 days, river itineraries take in Europe’s principal rivers, plus Russia’s Volga, Neva and Svir; Ukraine’s Dnieper; the Nile; the Yangtze and the Mekong.
Based in London, Viking appeal to travellers as well as tourists: there’s a thoughtfully curated library on board, plus cookery demonstrations and wine tastings.
Each year, Viking support a number of charities, including the UK Sepsis Trust, the Children’s Trust and Friends of Sussex Hospices.
