About VioVet Ltd

VioVet offer a variety of pet and horse supplies, including prescription and non-prescription medications, food, toys and equipment. They sell direct to consumers, both online and via telephone.

Founded in 2006 by Luke Cousins, the 16-year-old son of a vet and veterinary nurse, the business was initially an experiment to help the family’s veterinary practice. The company now employs more than 60 staff and distributes to thousands of pet owners each month, including a number of international customers.

Since then, VioVet has become one of the UK’s largest and most trusted veterinary supplies retailers, outgrowing two warehouses before settling in Luton in 2013. In April 2015, VioVet was acquired by Pethealth Inc., a Fairfax company based in Ontario, Canada.

Their mission is to help nurture the amazing connection that people share with their animals by offering professional advice, friendly support and carefully selected products for the health, wellbeing and happiness of pets and horses.

What is it like to work for VioVet Ltd

Managers don't have offices and choose to sit amongst the employees, and staff are encouraged to have open and honest conversations. Additionally, they are often found washing dishes, doing customer collections in reception or helping to organise the warehouse.
As part of their wellbeing policy, staff are allowed to bring dogs into the office and currently they have eight dogs in an office of 20 employees. This massively reduces stress as people take time to play with them and take them for walks.
