'Have your Say' boxes are placed around the site which people use to post their ideas on specific events and provide feedback. The managing director runs a breakfast club where all employees are invited on a rotational basis to spend time over breakfast to ask questions and gain feedback. Employees are kept informed on company news via their quarterly in house magazine, intranet, notice boards and ad-hoc communications in payslips.

The small steps scheme recognises anyone who has demonstrated excellent performance and points are awarded to use on company products. Wells and Youngs issue bonuses to eligible employees based on the achievements of the organisations profit and the contribution made by the individual. Line managers also have the ability to issue rewards at their discretion for superior performance including drinks and meals out.
