Best Company
to work for

Established in 1935, Cornelius is a leading independent European manufacturer and distributor of speciality chemicals, additives, and ingredients to the life sciences and performance chemicals markets. Having started in the UK, it now has offices in Europe including Poland and Russia.

Still referred to fondly by those who work there - as a 'family-led' company - this is key to Cornelius' success. The culture is cultivated by those in the company living the values of 'We Lead, We Care, We Deliver', each day.

The strategy is true differentiation, and employees are encouraged to deliver just this. Whether that is in designing and developing innovative products for customers or improving internal systems and ways of working - continuous improvement is a way of life at Cornelius.

The organisation employs passionate people who enjoy collaborating with one another at its locations across the globe. Its ‘OneCornelius’ approach is one it takes for the success of its employees, suppliers, and customers, and is underpinned by a philosophy that its people like to “work hard, work smart, and have fun”.

Personal growth is something important to Cornelius Group, and so to help develop its employees and equip them with the skills they need to advance in their careers, a cross-functional team within the business has recently undertaken a series of in-depth customer experience training.

Designed to influence all areas of the organisation, the training will be both useful in the employees’ current roles, and outside of the workplace.

Cornelius utilises both monetary and non-monetary efforts to reward its employees uniquely and effectively. Quote from the top...

At Cornelius we believe that our employees are the backbone of our success. We know that engaged employees are more productive, innovative, and invested in their work, which is why we prioritise engagement in everything we do. Our annual engagement survey is a key tool that helps us understand how our employees are feeling and identify areas for improvement. But we don't stop there. We take the results of the survey seriously and use them to create meaningful action plans. Our managers have honest conversations with their teams and create action plans that address the specific concerns and suggestions raised in the survey. We track progress and celebrate successes, and we're always looking for ways to improve.Engagement is not just a buzzword for us; it's a core value that drives our culture and our business. We believe that when our employees are engaged, they can achieve great things together. That's why we're committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to make a difference.
