"Together we win" is one of IT managed service provider Acora's core principles, driving a culture that makes it an exciting place to work.

The West-Sussex-based company wants to stand out from the industry crowd, "moving away from the standard SLA tick boxes," instead boosting clients' IT effectiveness by focusing on the user experience and an unrivalled level of service.

It "inspires the teams at Acora to be part of the journey ahead." As the business grows, including through acquisitions, there are new opportunities for team members, such as learning from cyber security professionals.

Staff get to nominate their colleagues for Employee of the Month, with the winner voted for by staff across the business. The chosen colleague gets vouchers worth £250, with prizes for those who came second and third. And the annual awards are a company-wide event. The winners are invited to the London office to receive their prize from the CEO, with the presentations broadcast across internal comms platforms and accompanied by refreshments encouraging all staff to join in the celebrations.

Acora recognises the challenges of the rising cost of living; it set aside all profits in October 2022 to give employees two special payments totalling £1500 to support them over the winter months. It also ensures staff have access to a financial advisor, pension professional, and LinkedIn courses to support financial education.

We welcome the ‘One to Watch’ accreditation for the second year running as our progress continues to recognise our core value, together we win. There has been continued growth over the previous 12 months with our recent acquisitions of Westgate IT and M9. The accreditation reflects our investment in our people by embedding our leadership development programmes, career framework and the launch of our apprenticeship scheme. Our focus for the year ahead is developing our early careers offering which will enable us to diversify our talent and improve accessibility.
