Leading the way in the manufacturing of automotive cleaning products, Autosmart International recognises that a key element of its success has been built by its team of over 150 employees.

Founded in 1979, the organisation lives by its ethos, “STRONGER TOGETHER”, which continues to be at the forefront of its employee engagement strategy. Staff are encouraged to be part of the Autosmart team, with team building opportunities, involvement in charity events and regular treats throughout the year.

Autosmart International believes in encouraging employees to support, respect, and work together to help each other succeed. As part of this, the organisation organises regular ‘mingles’, where staff can take a breather away from work and get to know each other informally.

Furthermore, many charity events, including sponsored walks, runs, cycles, mental health events, bake off competitions, and cycling the distance from its office to France using exercise bikes in the UK, helps to not only raise money for local and national charities but also provides an environment where employees can have fun and build stronger relationships.

The organisation’s “STRONGER TOGETHER” ethos continues through its full-company team-building day where the focus is on having fun, strengthening working relationships, and building trust. It also provides further thanks and surprises for teams and individuals who have gone the extra mile and who epitomise the values of the business.

When new staff join us, two of the things they frequently pick out as special about Autosmart is our family feel and the fact that their work really matters. We agree. We are small enough that each member of our team knows how their work contributes to the company and how their success will be measured. We are very close to the people who sell our products – our franchise partners, and they in turn are very close to the people who use our products. This means that we can tell immediately when we have done well and when we have done less well. Feedback is a precious gift and we have learnt to ask for and receive feedback well (much easier when it is good feedback!) as a matter of course. This drives our positive culture and supports each of us achieve our business objectives and personal development objectives, striving to be the best we can be.
