Brewhouse & Kitchen started out in 2013 with its first Brewpub in Portsmouth. The business wanted to create a place where it could inspire the world to become as passionate about beer as its people are.
In a world where hospitality careers are known to be short-lived, Brewhouse & Kitchen aim to inspire those who work for the organisation and to see the industry as a credible profession. Whether staff are in the kitchen, front-of-house, managing, or in the brewery, it develops them to be experts in their trade.
The organisation’s progression programmes, and mastery training sessions, ensure its teams are the very best they can be whilst the passion for great beer, fabulous food, and genuine hospitality is threaded through all levels of the business.
Brewhouse & Kitchen calls out to only those who mirror its passion and want to join in its quest to inspire and educate people, guests, and teams alike, in all things beer. Each of the pubs has a microbrewery onsite, paired with one of its talented head brewers whose expertise guides guests as they sample the brews made just a few feet away.
Guests are taken into Brewhouse’s world of hops, brewing, and beers to experience what it is like to be a true purveyor of the best drink in the world.

It promotes employee growth and development through apprenticeships, with a board goal to achieve 10% of its workforce on apprenticeships by 2024. 84% of staff have progressed from the apprentice level. Additional growth opportunities come from unique training from an in-house expert team – including beer, gin, and whisky learning.
This organisation has a strong social conscience
The organisation donated 100% of the proceeds of one of its in-house brewed beers to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. This beer, which was available at 23 different locations, was sign-posted across the company’s bars, promoted via an e-shot to its marketing database, and communicated through teams.
