Connect Childcare's policy of hiring people to add to the organisation’s culture, rather than fit into it, is what makes it a great place to work.

The nursery-management software provider, which was set up in 2004 and is based in Brierfield, Lancashire, has an energetic team with a huge appetite for success. This can partly be attributed to the fact that staff are in control of their own career progression. They are encouraged to take ownership of their development, so that they grow as individuals, which helps the business to expand.

Values are important at Connect Childcare and, since the whole team took part in creating those values, staff use them to drive everything they do and help them to meet their goals.

As an organisation whose mission is to improve the lives of children across the globe through its flagship software product, Connect Childcare, its staff are focused on developing products that save nurseries time and money. We are very much a people focussed business at Connect Childcare and have invested heavily in ensuring that the team is fully aligned to the strategic aims and shared values of the organisation. The detail that our recent B-Survey has gone into with regards to perceived strengths and weaknesses has been invaluable as we look to identify areas that we can improve upon and we're absolutely delighted to have achieved an 'Outstanding' accreditation with 83% participation from the team. We see the accreditation as a real differentiate in what is an increasingly competitive recruitment landscape, however, the true value lies in the insights that the survey has surfaced. We've done very well to get this far but we still have some way to go as we strive to continuously improve our offering to staff and be the best possible employer we can.
