Making people’s lives better is the purpose of wealth management company, Equilibrium Financial Planning, and that goes for its team and the community, as well as clients.

Last year, an Equilibrium bank holiday was given to all staff, as well as time off to attend fun events for the team and a half-day to get ready for its back-to-the-office dance in September.

It has also introduced a flexible framework that allows people to work hours that suit them and to fit them around their personal lives. The policy is new to the business. It was brought about by Covid and the fact that the company trusts its teams to carry out their work in a way that suits them. It has given staff more time to take children to school, attend appointments, take exercise or do whatever they feel will enhance their lives. The company also offers a minimum of 33 days' holiday each year.

Massages are also provided for staff each month, and weekly stretching and mindfulness sessions are carried out online so that they are accessible to those at home and in the office.

Based in Wilmslow, Cheshire, Equilibrium specialises in financial planning, tax mitigation and investment management. Staff are guided by four core values: Excellence, Simplicity, Integrity and Growth and, in terms of the latter, they are encouraged to keep developing personally as well as professionally.

The company's purpose is also to make clients lives better, by giving them the confidence to make better financial decisions.
