Franklin Fitch believes everyone should be rewarded for their work and efforts, driving the specialist IT infrastructure recruiter to ‘create opportunities for its employees and promote from within.’
The consultancy, with offices in London, Cardiff, Frankfurt and Austin, Texas, prides itself on the relationships it builds with clients through its ‘consultative and bespoke’ recruitment solutions.
And it takes the same approach to its employees’ development with training suited to each role and level, from graduates to senior leaders. And a clear career progression path sets out which milestones they need to hit to progress, supported by a structured internal promotion process.
Starters new to recruitment go through the ‘Franklin Fitch Academy,’ spending six to eight months developing all the tools and skills to successfully work in the industry before moving on to senior teams.
And to help teams understand each other and work together optimally, everyone’s personality test results, highlighting things like learning preferences and motivations, are shared between members.
At Franklin Fitch, ‘Raise the Bar Fridays’ recognise that achieving goals is a team effort. Every month the whole consultancy works towards breaking company records, giving everyone – sales consultants or support staff – a 3pm finish if they exceed the target. This also feeds into the end-of-year bonus structures.
And a mini-sabbatical is a new incentive for sticking with the company. It offers an additional two weeks of leave after five years and four weeks after 10 years, to which employees are free to add two weeks of their regular leave.
I am happy with the balance between my work and home life
Employees benefit from a holistic approach to wellbeing, from flexible working to those initiatives that make the day-to-day more enjoyable. They include ‘lunch and learns’, wellness prizes for going the extra mile for clients, paid volunteering days, laughter yoga, fresh fruit deliveries and charity fitness challenges.
My team is fun to work with
Staff get plenty of opportunities to connect over work or socially. Incentivised challenges throughout the year encourage collaboration, and there’s always something to do, whether it’s 5-aside or city socials where teams try out different restaurants in their area. And morning team catch-ups keep spirits high, celebrating wins and setting the agenda for the day.
I love working for this organisation
The working-from-home model ensures the most junior members are set up for success by learning from experienced team members in person. After the six-month probation period, everyone can work from home a day a week, with senior consultants getting the option of two days and principal consultants, four.
