Founded in 1912 and based in London and Munich, GJE is a top ranked European patent and trademark attorney firm providing expertise to corporations, start-ups, overseas attorneys and investors.

Although a lot of intellectual property work requires employees to work effectively on their own, GJE encourages teamwork and staff are encouraged to get involved in the business, be that to arrange a party, redesign an appraisal form or to join a group to pitch for new business. Staff are also encouraged to get involved in projects run by teams across the firm and the bonus scheme is designed specifically to support staff working collaboratively.

IP is a small, specialist area of the law and training is usually best provided by the experts, so much of the training is provided in-house through training workshops, one-to-one coaching and seminars and qualification courses are also provided for fee earners and support staff.

The leadership team act on staff feedback which has resulted in enhanced maternity pay and the introduction of “coffee roulette”, weekly social catch-ups with colleagues. Staff work hard but don't work excessive hours in the way many city workers do and there is plenty of flexibility, as everyone recognises there is life beyond work. A “homecoming” team made up of partners and employees is looking at how flexibility can be retained while ensuring effective collaboration post pandemic.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
