In the summer of 2011, Gleeson's three directors came together with a vision - to create a problem child in recruitment, a disruptor that challenged the status quo. Using their existing links in the industry they set out with a vision to build a business founded on trust, transparency and integrity, everything they felt the recruitment industry lacked.
Since then Gleeson has grown rapidly now employing staff at its head office in Birmingham and an office in Reading.
The three owners sit as part of the team, giving Gleeson a strong and defined internal culture. Every month the group host a 'Glee Update' - a business-wide meeting that celebrates company and employee achievements, as well as the 'Gleeson Lottery' which sees colleagues nominate anyone who has gone above and beyond to support their fellow team members, to win prizes.
All staff are provided training on anti-discrimination practices in recruitment and measures have been put in place to combat unconscious bias. Gleeson Recruitment Group acknowledge the holidays of all different cultures and ensure that all employees are offered the flexibility to partake in celebrations, as well as sponsoring events that celebrate diversity and multiculturalism.
