It’s the “pure hard work” of IP Integration’s team that has helped it to become the successful Customer Contact Specialist it is today.

Founded in Reading in 2001, the company – which creates intelligent, innovative, and secure contact centre solutions for its multiple clients in the world of customer service – has since opened offices in London, Manchester and abroad.

The organisation supports more than four million customer interactions every day for household names including Co-Op, Northern Ireland Water, Securitas, as well as many frontline NHS Trusts and local government organisations.  

IPI says the skills, commitment, personality, diversity, and emotional intelligence of its employees have helped its clients embrace the challenges brought about by the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021, when the reliance on contact centres to stay in touch with customers and citizens became greater than ever. Its multidisciplinary team was there every step of the way to help clients embrace change, envision a new way of working and ultimately provide the best possible customer experience.

To help young people, mostly from disadvantaged and marginalised communities, get excited about careers in the tech industry, IPI held an afterschool club in partnership with The Mentoring Lab, a black-led youth organisation based in and around Hackney, London. The 10-week programme saw IPI employees lead mentoring sessions on subjects such as building a website, digital marketing and more.

Leaders praise individuals for demonstrating values during a weekly call, and quarterly focus groups are held with employees to address where the company could improve.

To enable managers to have the resources they need to deal with increased times of uncertainty, IPI carried out a resilience ‘Skill Pill’. The Skill Pill comprised monthly educational sessions on a variety of topics, which provided guidance on what managers needed to do to support their teams. These included how to increase communication and hold informal check-ins.
